Graduation
BACKGROUND: Despite finishing high school near the top of his class, Greg was rejected from every college he hoped to attend. He did not give up, found a college that would give him a chance & went on to graduate with Highest Distinction. Since then, he has devoted much of the past two decades to helping other students reach their educational dreams. He became an educator, started the BrunchBunch.com Mentoring Program and launched The 11-10-02 Foundation, which has provided college scholarships to many students. For his civic efforts, he has received some special honors (i.e. Jefferson Award for Public Service). The Washington Post. wrote a kind story about Greg's academic & philanthropic experiences and his first time serving as a Commencement Speaker. He has also been featured by media like College Bound, Newsweek Kaplan College Guide and Education Week. SCROLL DOWN
EVENTS: Greg has spoken at many events -- including Graduations & Commencements at the middle school / high school (i.e. The Janus School) and community college / college (i.e. Kendall College) levels. Along the way, he has received a number of honorary degrees. He also has been guest speaker at 'end of year' events for other kinds of programs (i.e. Final Day lecture for a course at Cook School of Business; Leadership Wisconsin had him serve as keynote speaker at their end-of-program dinner & ordered copies of the Legacy Poster for each graduate). BOOKS: The Silhouette Man (& the condensed edition for 5th-12th grade students, The First Thirty) include an extensive look at Greg's academic experience (including Graduation) & his subsequent efforts to help other students fulfill their academic dreams. The First Thirty has been highlighted by media like College News. In some cases, schools (i.e. Suffield High School) have ordered copies for every graduate. The books have also been used as graduation gifts in non-academic settings (i.e. Leadership York gave the books to their participants when they completed the program). In Colorado, Latino College Fair organizers ordered copies for all of the event's attendees. An organization in NY gave copies of the books & companion workbooks to every student in their Life After High School program. SCROLL DOWN

During the pandemic, Greg has teamed up with organizations on projects involving the books -- including projects that involve new graduates or scholarship recipients (i.e. In Alaska, an organization ordered copies of the books for each of their 2021 Scholarship recipients & then Greg spoke with them via Zoom).
