In college, Greg received a summer internship. As an adult, he has tried to 'pay it forward' by providing internships to high school, community college, university & graduate school students. The internships are off-site (students do assignments from their own home or dorm room). So, the interns have lived & gone to school in many locations. Interns' roles & responsibilities vary from intern to intern (and day to day). Most assignments involve research. Sometimes, the interns assist with this website. Other times, they help with tasks like event planning, proofreading, and correspondence, or they help Greg with a civic or philanthropic initiative. The internships typically last a semester. In some cases, the internships have been extended, by mutual decision, for multiple semesters. SCROLL DOWN
In addition to more traditional internships, Greg has provided mini-internships that last a couple weeks or even just a day or two. In the latter instances (i.e. Baltimore Book Festival), a selected student who goes to school near an event where Greg will be speaking attends the event & handles responsibilities such as assisting with a book sale/signing & taking pictures during the event.
