internships
In college, Greg received an internship. As an adult, he has 'paid it forward' by providing internships to many high school and college students. The internships are off-site (interns do the assignments at home and communicate by email). Most assignments involve research. Other times, the interns help with tasks like proofreading and event planning. Some internships have been intentionally brief (e.g. one week). Typically, the internships last for three months (one semester or one summer). In some cases, they have been extended for multiple semesters. Separately, on the civic side, the foundation started by Greg has provided off-site internships and committee positions to high school and college students. They have helped with tasks like fundraising, researching organizations being considered for grants, and selecting scholarship recipients.
