film & theater
As a boy, Greg spent many weekends at the movie theater where his godfather worked as a projectionist. On Greg's 30th birthday, Loews Cineplex Entertainment hosted an event, featuring a sneak preview of a 'draft' of his first film. Soon after, The Washington Post ran a story profiling Greg and Steven Spielberg -- comparing their educational experiences, their post-college paths, and their legacies. Two of Greg's books (The Silhouette Man and The First Thirty) include a focus on the influence that films and the movie theater had on him. On certain occasions (e.g. at a university), he has accepted invites to turn the book into a one man play for an evening.
