Saturday Place
The Milkshake Man tells the story of a kid who comes up with ideas to make a difference & the grandparent who mentors him along the way. It is geared to kids between Kindergarten & 4th grade (& kids at heart). In 2020, to celebrate the book launch, Greg teamed up with Saturday Place. Saturday Place ordered copies for the amazing kids in their program. Then, Greg read & discussed the story with the kids in person. Sponsors (FFC - and Dash of Salt and Pepper) ordered matching copies of the books' companion workbooks (e.g. One Lunch). For Greg, it was a special full-circle experience. Greg's interest in books and civic engagement were impacted greatly by time he got to spend with Chicago Bears wide receiver when he was a child as a result of a Read-a-Thon. Serendipitously, Saturday Place was founded by another former Chicago Bears wide receiver Rashied Davis and his wife.
