My Sleepless Nights
Greg's portraits feature historical, contemporary & cinematic figures who have inspired segments of society to think, act, create, give, serve & lead -- including people like Shel Silverstein, Red Redding (portrayed by Morgan Freeman), Harriet Tubman, Simon Wiesenthal, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Michael J. Fox & Christy Turlington. The pieces are done in pencil and sized at 8.5 x 11. For each portrait, Greg also writes a journal entry. To see one of his artist journals, click here. When Greg first started drawing portraits, he did it late at night (hence, the collection's name -- My Sleepless Nights). The collection has been featured by media like Art World News. The portraits are not for sale, but Greg has permitted them to be put on exhibit at events in the US, Canada & Africa. To see photos from art-related events, click here. While the collection does include some portraits of political figures, it is completely nonpartisan (For example, in 2008, Greg drew both presidential candidates - Barack Obama & John McCain).
