film & theater
As a boy, Greg spent many childhood weekends at the movie theater under the watchful eye of his godfather -- who worked as the projectionist. In the process, he fell in love with 'storytelling' & the way films (& stories in general) change the way people think. His favorite films have included Rocky, Forrest Gump, Life is Beautiful, To Kill a Mockingbird, Crash, Big, Schindler's List, A Beautiful Mind, Big Fish, E.T., Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Shawshank Redemption, Dead Poets Society, Willy Wonka, The Natural, Hoosiers, A Bronx Tale & Gandhi. On Greg's 30th birthday, Loews Cineplex Entertainment hosted a one night only sneak preview of his first film. Soon after, The Washington Post ran a story profiling Greg and Steven Spielberg, comparing their educational experiences, their career paths & their legacies. Over the years, Greg has received invitations to transform the book based on his story into a one man play for the evening.
