film & theater
As a boy, Greg spent many weekends at the movie theater under the watchful eye of his godfather -- who worked as the projectionist. In the process, he became interested in 'storytelling' & the way films (& stories in general) can impact people. His favorite films have included Rocky, Forrest Gump, To Kill a Mockingbird, Schindler's List, Life is Beautiful, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, A Bronx Tale, Shawshank Redemption, E.T., Dead Poets Society, The Natural, Hoosiers, Willy Wonka & Gandhi. On his 30th birthday, Loews Cineplex Entertainment hosted an event at the theater, featuring a sneak preview of a rough draft of his first film. Soon after, The Washington Post ran a story profiling Greg & Steven Spielberg, comparing their educational experiences, their career paths & their legacies. Over the years, Greg has received invitations to transform the book based on his story into a one man play for the evening.
