Military / First Responders / Officers
The son & nephew of Veterans, Greg has a lot of respect for those who serve our nation. His support has taken different forms. On a civic level, he has volunteered his time to visit with seniors -- including older Veterans. His foundation funded a series of scholarships for students who are studying for EMS, Paramedic or First Responder careers. For his civic efforts, Greg has received some meaningful honors -- including the Jefferson Award for Public Service. He also received an honor with a 'fun' military connection: Hasbro honored him as one of 35 people who reflect the ‘spirit of G.I. Joe’ and ‘demonstrate heroism in their every day lives’. SCROLL DOWN
On a professional level, Greg has written for magazines -- including a feature story on a member of The United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own". He also has accepted invitations to speak at events. In America, for instance, he spoke (on Mentoring) at a conference for juvenile officers. He also has spoken at events for students at a number of military academies in the U.S. In Canada, he served as guest speaker at a Remembrance Day event. The books based on Greg's story has been used by many organizations (i.e. USO of Illinois ordered copies for people being honored for their service to military families). During the pandemic, people ordered copies of the book as gifts for selected Veterans (and for many seniors).
