The book, The First Thirty, tells the story of a young person who uses food & milkshakes to bring a community together. There is also a longer version for adults (The Silhouette Man) and a shorter illustrated version for Kindergarten-4th grade reading level (The Milkshake Man). The books are based on the story of Jefferson Award for Public Service honoree Greg Forbes Siegman. A Place To Sit is the companion workbook for The First Thirty. One Lunch is the companion workbook for The Milkshake Man. A variety of McDonald's and RMHC locations have put the books, workbooks &/or posters to use in positive ways. The back cover of The Silhouette Man features a review of the book from the past Board President of one of the RMHC's. Scroll down for examples. Click photos for captions.
