,Over the years, Greg has spent a lot of time - & collaborated with a variety of groups - in California. On a personal level, he has had fun experiences like attending the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, sitting in a course at UC-Berkeley as a guest student & spending two days working at a vineyard /winery in Sebastopol. He has hosted group dinners in places like San Francisco & Fresno. The home page picture on this website features Bodega Bay. On a civic level, his Foundation has funded multiple grants & scholarships to benefit students in California. On the professional level, the books & companion workbooks based on Greg's story have been used by organizations & schools in California (i.e. California Milk Advisory Board; Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District). The back of The Silhouette Man features a review written by the head of a company from the Fresno area. Groups (i.e. Visit Santa Rosa, Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center) have sponsored local editions of The Elevator Project (a kindness recognition project based on the books). Greg has spoken at a variety of meaningful events in California for people of different ages & backgrounds. He has spoken with local students -- from teens to college in places like San Francisco & Fresno (i.e. Fresno City College). He has spoken at events for senior citizens in places like San Diego. In San Rafael, he spoke at a private event for Holocaust Survivors. In Los Angeles, he was the guest speaker at Zeta Beta Tau's national convention. They also got copies of the books for all of their attendees. In Sacramento, he was keynote speaker for the Western United Dairymen's annual convention. In Fresno, Greg & former Apple CEO John Sculley were the morning & lunch speakers for the Ethics in Business Conference -- attended by business students, young professionals & executives. In Los Angeles, He has written for a variety of publications including articles for UCLA and UCSB's alumni magazines.
