Over the years, Greg has spent a lot of time - & collaborated with a lot of groups - in Florida. On a personal level, he has enjoyed fun experiences like celebrating a birthday with friends in Boca Raton, swimming with dolphins near Miami, doing a triathlon in Coconut Creek & attending a Miami HEAT game. On a civic level, his foundation funded a grant in Florida and he participated in a READ PSA photo shoot to promote the Delray Beach library. On the professional level, the books based on Greg's story have been used by organizations & schools in Florida (i.e. DNA Orlando, Donna Klein Jewish Academy) with their staff, clients or students &/or as part of their efforts to make a difference in the community. Miami Country Day School selected The First Thirty as a common read for its students taking a trip to South Africa & then had Greg speak with those students & their parents. SCROLL DOWN TO CONTINUE
Over the years, Greg has spoken at other schools (i.e. Pine Crest School) around Florida. He has spoken at many events for adults in Florida as well. He was the closing speaker for the annual Florida Library Association conference. He was the keynote speaker for South Florida's annual 40 under 40 Awards in Fort Lauderdale. He was one of the guest presenters at the National Conference for Family Literacy in Orlando. He was the keynote speaker for International Association of Ice Cream Distributors & Vendors annual convention in Aventura. He has spoken at many events for seniors in private communities in cities like Palm Beach Gardens, Orlando & Boca Raton. During the 2020 Pandemic, he collaborated on an activity involving his books and selected seniors in Florida.
